wait HotD got an 8 from EDGE, haters of everything?

We have this tread about edge having a big hyped game scoring worse than average every single time. Anyway, if you want to take edge reviews, seriously go ahead, but it doesn't mean that i have to.

Thats pretty good reviewing for the above games as I understand it. The guys I know who have played Res 2 extensively have siad that they are pretty bored of it. And that they preferred the originals originality. If you read what they say about KZ2 they are pretty spot on. Although I would give an 8 to KZ2 off the demo. My view may change though when we play through the entire game in a few weeks.

One thing though, people forget edge doesn't use the normal review system. They use 5 as average. SO hotd is great then.

It's good to have one dissenting review in the mix. When Halo 3 and GTA4 was unanimously 10/10, I have to say I was concerned.
Edge gave Valkyria Chronicles 7/10, so not too much more needs to be said.

Don't complain about the score people. Complain about the review.
It's much easier to make a complete fool of oneself if one is just complaining about the score. The score doesn't tell you what the reviewer was thinking when he played the game, what he values and what he misses. The score doesn't tell you how the experience was. The score doesn't tell you much, in fact.
So before you go complaining about the way Edge scores its reviews, READ THEM FIRST! And then complain about specifics in the reviews. That way you won't come off as rabid fanboys.
