KASZ is right EDGE MAG is not bias their just harsh on most of their review you can tell R2, COD WAW, KZ2, FALLOUT 3 all got 6-7 and these games are not even close on being "BAD".

That wouldn't effect the aggregate so much unless the PS3 had much less releases then it did... and a lot less releases per month then the 360... when they are about average.

"All the well selling" games weren't really that many that were ported back to PS3.

Furthermore Edge doesn't review EVERY game.

FPS games these days are branching out some fromt he stale state they were in and doing new things. Some went for near fully destructive environments like Battlefield Bad Company, some went for co-op like CoD:WaW, L4D and Resistance 2.


Killzone does none of these things, it is failing to move ahead at all, instead trying to 'refine' things that got stale long ago. Doesn't matter how much something stale is refined, it is still stale.

 

And yet, everyone will cream their pants once Starcraft 2 and Diablo III hit, even though those two games will only be refining and graphically updating the previous installments.  Probably not even going lower than 90% too.

And the pattern is getting obvious: You hate something about LBP (the way MM handled something) and you kept hacking into that game ever since.  KZ2 does something you don't like, and same treatment.

To people trying to defend this. These people are supposed to be professionals. As a professional you are basing your review on how good something is, and not how good it is IYO. A professional food critic does not walk into a resterant that he hates, get served by a shity waiter, down one of the best meals in his life, and still say garbage. In the end if the food is 10 quality the resterant should get a ten, because that is what you are there for. For a game it should only be about how playable the game is, and if there are any game breaking glitches. Otherwise, graphics, story, lastability, sound, and presintation are all subject to personal preferance.

To the person that says they have gameplay preferances....lots of bad stuff.......a game either has good gameplay, or it doesn't. It may be to easy, or it may be to hard, but trhat is not the fualt of the controls, it is either a lack of skill on the players part, or a matter of opinion on how difficault the game is.

 

This is the most retarded thing that i've ever read in these forums . Edge magazine is, and always has been , the only videogames' magazine worth reading .

 

According to your "trusted magazine"dance dance babiezz is the best game that's coming out next month.Please buy it and enjoy ;)

Is 8 their version of 9 or 10 that others give?  In the list there, they had 8 as their highest score.  They even gave Halo Wars a 7.

I said the same, it's not that good. Played through it again and still didn't like it. Fired up Gears 2 and feel that buzz again. Why don't developers look at what works and try and follow it. The PS3 doesn't have any good FPS so whay don't they just copy a good one. Really can't understand it.

Mirror's Edge : 5/10  (Average ~80)

Metroid Prime 3 : 7/10 (Average is 90)

Bioshock (PC/Xbox 360 version) : 8/10 (Average is 96)

Dead Space : 8/10 (Average is 88)

No review for Portal...

Of course, most of the averages would be higher without their scores, but I guess that is enough for you (and everyone else) to know how retarded these guys are.
