I got news for all of you, I have spent more money on Nintendo products than most of you will in your lives. So you can take that "I hate Nintendo" crap and shove it. I was there from the NES until now buying EVERYONE of their systems. Most of you probably have probably owned like 2-3 of their systems. If you are under 25 or have only owned a handful of systems your opinion means exactly nothing. You can spout all the useless insults you want it doesn't change the fact that Nintendo has changed to a sell a lot of crap for high profit to anyone on the street kind of company. |
I'm 29 and have been gaming since I was (about) 4 on the Colecovision, PC, NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, Gameboy, GBA, Nintendo DS, Genesis, Playstation, PS2 and XBox 360 and I haven't really noticed Nintendo selling "A lot of crap for high profit to anyone on the street" ...
Up until mid 2008 Nintendo had maintained the fastest rate of releasing their highest quality games that I have ever seen from Nintendo ... After all, within 18 months of releasing the Wii Nintendo had released The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, and Super Mario Galaxy which are Nintendo's 4 strongest home console games and they found time to release other core franchises like Fire Emblem, Super Paper Mario, Battalion Wars 2, and Metroid Prime 3. When you consider that it took Microsoft 2 years to release Halo 3 and it will take over 3 years for Sony to release Gran Turismo 5, Nintendo has been very speedy about releasing their core franchises.
Now, Nintendo has only released 4 games with aggregate review scores of (roughly) 90% or more and Sony has done so much better by releasing 1 in the same time frame ... Microsoft has done an amazing job and released 5 with a year extra on the market and with 3 of those games being developed by third party developers.
