Forums - General - Florida doctor loses license after botched abortion - this is sick.

http://www.freep.com/article/20090206/NEWS07/90206051/-1/rss07

I am pro-life, but not necessarily anti-abortion.  I know it is necessary at times.

I have heard stories and testimonies about some sick practices at clinic.  I'm sure stories like this in very rare, but it's still so sad.

Read the story!

This makes me sick.

Even though it would have died anyway, they could have done something. They could have held him or her until he or she passed away. But no, let's throw dying babies in the trash.

ugh, that is sick.

i'm a pretty liberal minded person but abortion is one issue in which i lean to the right. want a choice? choose to use a condom and choose to accept the consequences of your behavior if things don't go as you plan.

on a botched abortion, they should keep the baby alive and put him/her out for adoption.

this is the type of abortion we should ban

a little girl made the mistake of f-ing her boyfriend with out a condom---she should have to live with the responsibilities of her actions not just be able to throw them in the trash and act like they never happened------

oh well some day she will be held accountable for this if she never seeks forgiveness

Details seem pretty sketchy (in that news item anyway) about just what happened with the baby. The issue here seems to be that the doctor didn't even show up for hours and doesn't seem to know what he's doing.

yeah, the doctor wasn't there so they should have waited but they didn't and the doctor and his associates tried to cover it up by killing the baby.

Is that what happened?  I thought it was that he gave her a drug to help with the procedure but when he didn't show up for hours it resulted in her having the (extremely premature) baby, which died, and they threw it in the trash.  Still bad but not the same as what you said.

I heard it on the news yesterday that someone else started the procedures and they all panicked and tried to cover it up after the botched operation.

Doctor should have been there, and later not try to cover it up.  Af first they put the baby in a bag and left it on the rooftop, and when the police came to investigate, it was gone.  Later the police came back to find the baby in the clinic in a box.  (this is what I remember from the radio news).
