Ok this is real sales right? or is the 4.5million including selling to stores in stock etc? im having trouble recognizing whats the real sales number.

Just cuz VGC has it under 4mill.

According to the financial statement, "The METAL GEAR series is exhibiting its strength as a brand, steadily increasing the number sold year-to-date to more than 4.5 million units as of the end of this consolidated third quarter."

I think they've been selling a pack with the old games (notice it says metal gear series). Also those are shipped amounts as always in financial reports.

Well, we know the US, UK, and Japan numbers exactly (NPD, GfK, and Famitsu), which are more in line with VGChartz.
