Forums - Gaming - would you continue to buy games if they cost $ 99 -109 avg per game

thats how much they cost in australia, even when the aust dollar was near parity with the us dollar, and some publishers of ps3 games have $119 rrp, luckily the $119 games are few and far between but there are always one or two about waiting for the unwary buyer who doesn't get there retailer to drop the price,so if games cost that much where you live what would be your response.

obviously this is aimed at people who dont pay that kind of money

Here in the States, $49.99 for Wii/PS2 games at launch, $59.99 for HD console games at launch. $99-$109, Probably but no where nearly as much as I do now. I might end up buying a game like once every two or three months or some time frame like that.

If games were $99-109 dollars, I'd become a pirate or go retro..

Pixel Art can be fun.

I don't think I would keep buying, just wait for the price cuts.

At that price I'm surprised the piracy amount isn't higher there o_O

I would probably just buy games used or on the internet if that happened. If I had forward notice that the system's games would be that expensive then I probably wouldn't buy the system.

Hell I won't pay $60 (except for a game with an awesome amount of replayability). For $99 or more? No way - I'd play older games for cheap.

I'd get pirated games.

Well considering I have already purchased a few collectors editions that were 90+. So yeah I think I would, but it would be nowhere near at the rate I currently buy games.
