Virtua Tennis 3 was utterly mediocre.

Top Spin 2 was way better in every possible way.

First 2 were great fun though.

I disagree with you...but more importantly metacritic does.

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

I couldn't wait to finish my career in top spin 2, i was bored to death of playing it after like 3 matches.

Each to their own though i suppose.

For me you just can't beat the rush that a Virtua tennis game gives you.

And Playing Virtua tennis 3 online on xbox live is fantastic.

yeaaaaaaaaaaa best tennis series ever!!!! im still playin VT3 on PS3 and time to time the one on the Dreamcast...good times =)

Fair play, just my opinion.

My friends an I couldn't stand VT3, just seemed plain boring but hey ho each to their own and we are in the minority it would appear.

Indeed

With Virtua tennis 2009 been announced and dated so quickly i wonder how long it will be before Virtua fighter 6 is announced......!!!!!!

Afterall, Virtua fighter 5 and Virtua tennis 3 came out around the same time on consoles.

Eh, I have VT3, I grew bored of it so fast. The game lacks so much challenge, I was wiping the floor with the AI consistantly after only my 2nd match.

The world tour mode was also crap with the needing to pass up matches and rest and whatnot. Whoever designed that should be fired. I just want to play in tournaments ffs.

Its the same problem with any tennis game, once you are used to playing it the A.I. is no longer a challenge.

Did you have the ps3 version of Virtua tennis 3?

The 360 version had online multiplayer and thats where its greatness and longevity shone through, nothing beats playing another humaniod and really testing yourself.

Looks like Virtua tennis 2009 has online for everyone this time so its good news all round.

It would be great if for VT2009 they could use a kind of adaptive A.I, kinda like and A.I director (yes just like L4D). Can you imagine the challenge and the different approach that you would have to have in each game? Adding it to the classic playability of all Virtua Tennis games, especially the first, then we could have a hell of a tennis game, even better than the first IMO ;)
