Forums - Microsoft - More JRPGs to Xbox 360: JRPG Dev Announces Agreement with Xbox 360

good news another jrpg, exactly what we need.
I just hope they do very well, im still considering to buy eternal sonota and ill give blue dragon a buy in a year or 2

                 With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.

My gut instinct tells me that a system base that buys 900,000 copies of Madden on the first day and buys 4.0 million copies of Gears of War will largely overlook the JRPG genre. I could be very wrong though. The holiday sales numbers will be very telling. Is Lost Odyssey going to make its release date for this year? I have heard yes and no...

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

This is awesome. I bought my 360 because i wanted to play PDZ (massive fan on N64). I expected more shooters and then Gears came along and blew me away. But i never expected such a raft of RPG's to come to my system, much less JRPG's. This is fantastic. Now and for the foreseeable future, the Microsoft console is actually the best place to find quality JRPG's (at least until FFXIII hits)! Who would have thought?

Once again, thanks for the awesome info Mr Stickball, keep it coming

This is good news for people with a 360, I guess, but seems very...off to me. NIS makes very niche games that barely crack 200k even on the PS2's install base. This isn't going to move 360's in Japan in the least. On the other hand, NIS games are very "budget" in appearance so it's not like they're going to be losing much, if any money, off of miniscule to zero sales on 360. Not to mention some of the games in the first post aren't made by NIS but rather published in the US, so you won't be seeing anything like another Atelier game on 360 unless the actual developer (Gust) starts supporting 360 too, which hasn't happened yet.

So far, yes most likely in december. But there is a chance it will be pushed back which can be a very good thing

This way it comes out almost alone, not with the huge titles and it will be more seen by the public and it could be a huge hit. Pushing it back also usually means a better game

@Claude....
Its like Mr Stickball said, it wont move many but it will move some. The point is the games this company makes are incredibly niche. There is a small core of people that absolutely 'must' play their games. So if some of these games are exclusive, they could move 50-100K systems in theory. I dont think it would be that much, but 100k would be enormous in Japan

I think even 75k is very optimistic for NIS's niche.

Your probably right Claude, but still i think they will be significant system sellers as a proportion of the 360's Japanese Installed Base assuming they are exclusive
