When stranglehold came out it wasn't selling very well, and some people who bought it probably regretted it because it was being traded back in quite swiftly. Sales were so low that Gamestop dropped the price of the game, but their extortionate resale prices remained nice and high. So I'd just like to share this pic with you that I took around that time.

This isn't really shocking. EBGames/Gamestop is way overpriced for used games so long as a new copy is being sold.

However, for older games it is typically cheaper to buy from gamestop than it is amazon or e-bay.

For example, I just picked up golden sun and the sequel for $3 less (total) than if I had bought both games on amazon/e-bay, and I bought Pikmin 2 for like $20 less than the average price on amazon.

Wow, yea, sounds like you get a great deal on the used copy! But yea, sometimes you'll find some good deals but it's rare.

of course...the new game probably isnt as new as you think anyways.
