The Australian government plans on giving us all $950 payments in my country and I plan on getting a PS3 and a few games when I finally get it. The government is even giving the money to people on study benefits but not unemployment benefits. Oh shit I am on unemployment benefits and I may not get the money. I might have to go down to social security and change over and tell them I am back to being a student again. I have the enrollment papers to support my claims.

$950 government handout and a new PS3 and games will soon be all mine.

Not a bad idea but if I where you I'd spend that $950 on something a little more worth my while like a 360 and lots of games instead of a PS3 and a few games.

I'm on youth allowance so I'll get it too annd it'll probably all go towards a car.. Sad but its the reality of needing a car.. Otherwise I'd have bought Deadly Creatures, HotD and Madworld and held onto the rest for uni expenses and other games through the year..

I already have two X360's with 20+ games.

Free government handouts should be done by all governments to get their economies moving again. More retail sales is a good thing.

My first PS3 games to buy will be Kill Zone 2 and MGS 4. I will consider other games through the 7 day EB new game trial thing. The pre-owned games will be definitely worth buying such as Uncharted, GT 5: Prologue and Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction.

It is a matter of time blue-lady. The Greens, Independents will come to the party and vote it in. It is good for the country. It is a tax cut to all Australians in a handout payment. Opposition leader Kim Beazley tried to stop our tax cuts one time. Now Opposition leader Turnball is trying to stop our handouts. Bitterness of being in Federal opposition.

I wonder if starcraft will get a PS3 if he gets his $950 handout?

The liberals will probably oppose it.

Good move though, hopefully people will spend it instead of saving it.
