Even with Sony's marketing (which is supposed to be significant) for Killzone 2 not yet in full force, it seems to be garnering quite alot of attention in the face of Resident Evil 5 and SF4. I guess it's not THAT much of an achievement to overshadow SF4, it's rather niche and the same people seem to buy it without much of an expansion in popularity. And I don't think it's necessarily overshadowing Resident Evil 5, but for a sequel to an average game it seems to be doing wonders.
I mean, it's marketing is nothing close to the Halo 3 campaign, and it still feels like it's everywhere. My guesses would be that supporters of the game are making its presence felt all over the internet, and perhaps the E3 2005 trailer, which has caused a fuss for quite some time is doing it's part. The reviews also have to help a bit, last time I checked it had a 93 on Metacritic with about 34 reviews. That's up there with the elite games this gen (two points below LBP, just a reference point lol).
How is Killzone 2's PRESENCE in the market now? I guess advertising is the wrong word because Sony has yet to get their campagin going.
EDIT: Sorry for Killzone 2 thread #5,000,000. lol
EDIT2: Wehn I say " sequel to an average game" I wsa talking about Killzone 1. Resident Evil 4 is one of the best games last gen. Read the context please.

But I guess that goes for alot of other online forums also.
