Playstation Magazine gives a PS3 game a bad score and now their biased against the system? That makes no sense at all, unless those are fanboy feelings!

I was joking because Hus loves throwing that comment out anytime a PS3 game doesn't get a great score.

To cash in my CC rewards points for $300 in Circuit City gift cards to purchase a 360 or not: That is the question.

I think all those comments were sarcasm.

Wow first I switched my preorder from Lair to Warhawk because of Lair scores and now Warhawk gets a bad score. Damn this sucks

Why are people so volatiley sensitive to one review?  I think it is pretty childish.  Almost any great game out there had at least one reviewer not like it.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Lair is still gonna hit No.1 on release week and should shift at least 300-500K U.S and possibly 1M worldwide. PS3 gamers are so starved they will pick up the game just for the gfx

Heeeeyyyy!!!! <Snap>

Because this review is coming from a Sony-based magazine.  It's like Nintendo Power giving Metroid Prime 3 a 5/10.

^ WHAT!?!? Brawl and Galaxy will barely make that mark and that's during christmas for the Wii! You expect a mediocre game to sell a million on an underselling console in the middle of summer????

I don't think it should get a lower score just because there is no single player, but it should be rated as a multi-player game instead. In which case, playing the beta showed that it was very fun. As a multi-player game, my time in the beta showed it was wicked fun and apart from some bugs and the crazy crashing problem (hence, BETA, the crashing problem was lessened if you turned off the PS3's media server option and was further improved after you downloaded the patch), I would probably rate it at least an 8-8.5 amongst multi-player games.

The only people who think lair will be a good game are those who don't read hands on previews and when they watch videos just think oooooo graphics. All the videos with gameplay just look bad. It just seems that PS3 fanboys are completly desperate to brand every game with good graphics the next system seller. People just need to wait for great games instead of insisting that game X will be awesome despite hands on views. It's still pretty early days for the wii and ps3. I except HS and MP3 will be the start of both systems great game season.
Im slightly surprised at the warhawk score but not hugely. I wasn't part of the beta but the game has always kinda looked like a cheap version of Battlefield. I still thought it would be at least around 70% though. You know, good but not fantastic. At least they are charging a fair price though unlike other online only games *mumble shadowrun mumble*

It is very rare for great games to get reviews below 80%, sometimes they will go as low as 70% but that's usually because the reviewer has already decided before hand to take issue with it. Usually those oddly low reviews are from some completly no name site. Just check out Halo, RE4, metroid prime, FF7 etc etc.

It's also worth mentioning that often the first few reviews for a game are the best. Publishers making sites/magazines with low reviews hold back until after release, magazines/sites agreeing to boost the score a bit for an early review etc.

Turkish says and I'm allowed to quote that: Uncharted 3 and God Of War 3 look better than Unreal Engine 4 games will or the tech demo does. Also the Naughty Dog PS3 ENGINE PLAYS better than the UE4 ENGINE.
