This just in (from the future) Killzone 2 makes 20 dollar profit in lifetime sales.

Will that one advert sell over 120,000 more copies of the game? (Assuming overhead amounts to $20/game and the game sells for $60)

Money well spent in my book. It's not just about selling Killzone 2 for Sony, its about entering the public consciousness again. If this is part of a constructed campaign, and not just a one off, then Sony could reap good rewards from this.

good...i still remember the first time I saw the FF7 commercial...also, Gears of War 1 had a great commercial even though "Mad World" has nothing to do with the game.

1) not epic enough for the superbowl, this ad shows gameplay and uses actual game music (I guess), it's honest, but the real ads probably won't be like that. More like gears of war commercials (with the song madworld...)

2) a real ad would not say "made by guerrilla". It's a shame, but it's too expensive to spend 2 seconds with that

they should make an ad using mad world like gears of war. I think sad songs and opera match with intense things like gears of war and killzone 2
