ok this is getting ridiculous, how are the challenges hard (except for trail, which I haven't finished yet), or the super combo finish and focus??? I've been playing for 3 days strait to get to 500 games played. Anyone in my friends list could have seen that.

As i said, jumping from 550 to 750 in one night seems mighty suspicious to me, also, it was the jump from nowhere in the leaderboard right up to 550 in no amount of time that i suspected the most.

Plus the whole Devil may cry thing and also already having 165 on Resi 5.

DMC takes forever to get that kind of score

After 600 G's SF IV's achievements take time, all this just seems impossible to me in such a short space of time.

Even for 3 days straight you can't go from nowhere on the leaderboard to 750 G's & Still find time to play Resi 5 AND top up your DMC 4 score to 800+

Prince of Persia on the way today! Has anyone played the DLC for it?

When all is said and done I should have 49/50 on Halo Wars. I am playing through the campaign with a friend on legendary so that will bag me 4 more achievements, just 4 more gold medals and thats another 2 achievements. Then the ranking up on xbox live!

From reading the achievements for RE5 it doesn't seem to me that getting 165 gs would be that hard. Specially if you had the game a few days already.

This whole game save method is new to me, I could swear it specifically says on the memory area of Live interface that if you copy a save file and move it then no achievements are possible on that save.

In regards to the issue of SleepWaking's gamerscore, I have read the posts and can see both sides of it. On one hand, it does look suspicious of gamesave sharing but on the other hand, if the save has been corrupted (in terms of not unlocking Achievements at the right time) then there is a case that he got the Achievements long before and they are unlocking now. I myself have not seen this happening before though.

I am not a moderator so Ill only offer a request to SleepWaking - if you dont care about your points in the league and you have used someone elses gamesave then I would politely ask you to leave the league.

If you are getting them legitimately then just be prepared to get questioned everytime you get offline Achievements out of order very quickly.

Of course, the final decision is with Neoratt.

Maybe an email to Microsoft? That might clear things up.

I hope Sleepwalking doesn't feel like he is being pushed out, but people are suspicious and rightly so.

I dont know about gamesaving, but isn't that only that you can get 1000, anyway my gamesave was corrupted (that was what MS told me) since level 10 when the kronus key didn't want to go out. I couldn't get any achievement anymore. When I finnally beat hell and hell mode and with that all modes almost everything started unlocking, I only had to play level 11 Dante Must Die Again and the tower achievements wont still not unlock. Maybe if I beat it all together it will I don't know. Oh and as you can see I didn't get any achievement anymore since quite some months ago (when my save was corrupted) and you may or may not know that I played it still quite a lot since then (infact I've already played the game for 133 hours).

Same thing happened for me with GTA 4, not only can't I unlockany achivements anymore, but when I load a game I always will begin at the beginning of the whole game. I now gave up and I'm just going to play the PC version.

So let me get this straight, you beat one mode, then about 500 points unlocked all at once for you?  If your save was corrupted why would it work now and how did you keep playing on it since last year?  More importantly, why wouldn't you just make a new one?

You asked what a gamesave is:  A gamesave cheat is using somebody elses save with your gamertag, which unlocks any achievements they have in odd orders.  Nothing to do with 1000 or anything.

Anyways, I've never heard of anything like that before and I find it odd you have achievements unlocked while online for Street Fighter IV and Resident Evil 5 and right after buying RE 5 you'd go play Devil May Cry offline and get all those points. I hope you actually got those legimately because if you are supposed to have 1000 on it I might as well not bother playing anymore then.  I won't stay on this subject anymore, good luck.

I don't play Resident Evil the whole day because i play it together with someone, in system link because we got disconnected 4 times while being in the same house. Thats also why I was offline. Anyway believe what you want to, I don't care anyway. btw it was MS themselves that told me my gamesave might have been corrupted, it was not the same as with gta4 though which I have to start all over everytime, it just didn't unlock anything anymore.

OK.  I think everyone has had their say.  I did some investigation and this does seem suspicious.  But, at the same time I looked through the rest of SleepWaker's gamerscore and it seems mostly legit (Soul Calibur IV is suspicious as well).

So, I am going to add two new rules effective immediately...  And retroactive on current races and platinum awards...

- To qualify for a position in a tournament you must get 80% of the total achievements (not score) online connected to Live with dates attached to the achievement.  I will check each week to make sure this is true.

- To qualify for a platinum award with your gamertag you must do the same (80% of achievements must be while connected to Live).  Unfortunately, until I get the league fully automated, I will have to rely on people to PIM me when they notice this for platinum awards.

This seems suspicious from what I have read and found out.  But, at the same time I have to assume that gamers are legit in getting there scores and that Microsoft has ways to catch gamers who are cheating.  Reference Major Nelson post in October 2007...  http://majornelson.com/archive/2007/10/30/Xbox-LIVE-account-sharing-and-Gamesave-tampering-dont-do-it.aspx?PageIndex=4

What I can do, is say that to qualify in this league, the score has to be 80% received online so that everyone knows it is legit and it leaves some room for offline play.

Does anyone object?  I know this may not be ideal for people who are forced offline and their game saves corrupt...  But, we have to KNOW that scores are legit in the league...  Integrity is important for this league to survive.

YES I OBJECT! I put so much effort into Halo Wars :O I deserve to come first!!!!!!

I think the best you can do is report them to Microsoft, if Microsoft themselves tell you the user is legit then you know for sure.

I totally agree with clamping down with cheaters but not at the expense of other gamers, I have to do most of my gaming offline (though if this rule goes ahead I'll make an effort to start playing online more)

If you have to do this at least don't make it retroactive :( I'll stand no chance at any platinum games and I'm sure other people are in the same boat.

Is there any point in us all playing solidly to earn our points each week when someone can press a couple of buttons and get them all in one minute?.
If as he says they(devil may cry)are old achievements then they should'nt be counted as they were'nt earned in the current season.
I have'nt played any tounaments yet, just missed the megadrive one, but it seems unfair to the likes of me who is only able to go online about once a week.
I don't believe it addresses the issue as a whole as if somebody is cheating they can still win the gamerleague for that week.
We all know how long it takes to get certain achievements on some games, i've been plugging away all day just for 40 points!

I don't think you need to make people get 80% of the achievements online personally. Even when you get achievements offline there's a normal progression that makes sense when you see them, this was an abnormal thing I noticed that was evident. I don't want people like seece to not get any points because they don't play online the whole time. Plus we all lose our internet every once in awhile and get points in games (mine has gone out for days and weeks a few times). It would also be a lot of unnecessary work. The issue was never whether or not they were done offline, it's how. I think it would negatively affect too many peoples scores on past games and future games.
