Alright, the Genesis collection is now disqualified. Congrats on the 1000 Ronster.

edit: it also picked up a 10th player but the completion percentage is still 30 percent now anyway.

I think you should read the updated rules.

I see.  While I'm glad to see the updated rules I have to seriously ask you if you can not implement the part about quickest completed wins the tie in this particular race.

I say that because for one thing the race had already started and for the main reason is because I don't want to be the reason these guys didn't get as many points because of my suggestions.  When I was suggesting it I didn't mean to be strong arming tying players out of points just because I was in first.  I meant in future races it would be a good idea.

Thank you.

Now I'm gonna quit bugging the ever-living hell out of you. Sorry for that.

I'm over 35 hours into Star Ocean 4 and only have 220 gs. Looks like it'll take a minimum of 120 hours for 100% completion. Really dreading the battle trophy and item creation achievements. MGC shows the world leader with 930 gs. "RIP iScar" is a proven cheater so his 1000 doesn't count.

You know, if you are dreading an achievement you don't have to get it :)

How would you cheat at a jrpg?  I can understand FPS achievement cheating with your friends but I can't see how a single player experience could offer cheating possibilities.  Also, if he's proven cheater why don't they wipe his gamerscore.  Didn't they make a big to do about that a few months ago, about they would wipe cheater scores?

@JPL78: Are you telling me I don't have to waste countless hours unlocking ridiculous achievements? :)

Not positive how he and others do it, but the guy was apparently among a group of people banned (temporarily?) back in November. As you said, for some reason MS and MGC didn't wipe out his stats. I've checked the SO4 leaderboard everyday since it was released in Japan, yet on the day of US release he pops up with 1000gs, same thing happened with him and Halo Wars. On his mgc profile he has many 1000gs games, yet none of them have been played online. Also notice he's unlocked none of the DLC achievements for his games. If you're such a gamerwhore wouldn't you purchase DLC for those extra achievements? He doesn't because you can't crack those. My guess is he and his buddies share each others gamesaves. Or cracks pirated games on a modded console to unlock the achievements. Very lame.

@NeoRatt: Star Ocean 4's PAL release has been pushed back until June. :(  How will this affect the race? Perhaps a separate race for the PAL owners?

eNamrah, I actually look up to you guys for being so pridefully bullish with the achievements. I just can't do it on most games. But I still respect the people who get every ounce of gameplay out of their purchases. I usually just get as much gameplay as inclines me and then all bets are off. If extra achievements are reasonable then, sure, why not.

Yeah, I'm guessing no one gets 1000 in SO in one day, that wouldn't even be possible given the game time. If microsoft is going to enforce anti-cheating they should seriously be looking at that guy.

Which raises the question, why the frick does it even matter if you get 1000 points in a game by stealing them all with cheating? There's no pride in that. If you did it on every game then there's no pride in your gamerscrore, so what's the point? What does it prove? I bet in actuallity that guy sucks horribly at playing the games.

I mean honestly the happy tingly feeling of scoring gs comes from knowing you earned it. Or it should at least.

Prior to purchasing my 360 in Jan 2008, I was aware of but didn't really understand GS, why it was appealing or exactly how it worked. Before I never felt compelled to "complete" games. I'd play a game, rarely on the hardest setting, until I beat it then move on. GS changed that. MS has done such an excellent job of incorporating GS, that achievements have become almost impossible to ignore when playing a game. It's that feeling of unexpectedly unlocking an achievement that I love the most. I also enjoy some of the more quirkier achievements. But most importantly I'll only play games that interest me so it makes going for 1000 much easier. I'd never purchase a game for the sake of achievements. As for the cheaters, I don't know. I guess they believe people will be jealous or respect them for their high GS.... Yeah, that's not gonna happen.
