More discs meant more/better content in the past, so for that reason it was a good thing. I do hate the bigger cases, and piles of discs in a single case, though. Multi-discs were really only okay because they meant the game was better, in the past.

2 DVD-9s in a case built to hold two (as opposed to them being stacked on a single disc spindle) is the limit for me these days, unless the game is only available in an irritating multi-disc format, and is a good RPG. I'm glad most HD games I buy come on Blu-Ray.

I wanted to replay Final Fantasy 8 recently because I loved that game sooo much. Look in the case and disk 1 is missing : O so I have three useless DISKS!!! arrgh
