I'm tired of people flaming people because of their gaming preferences, and calling themeselves hardcore gamers vs casual just because you own one or onother console.

For me a hardcore gamer is someone that enjoy playing games regardless of the plataform, the genere or even the graphics, been a hardcore gamer frees you to play all kinds of games in all kinds of hardware just for the fun of doing it.

Being a hardcore gamer lets you enjoy wii muisic, metal gear 4, gears of  war, mario galaxy or brain training just for the sake of it.

So for me all the people who trashes other systems and games it is because  they are very insecure about themselves and just want to show off their games or systems as a status. Eg: that system is better than this  one because is more powerful, fun, etc, so in the end I'm better than you because I own that system and you don't.

For the record I been playing games since the atari 2600

I think of myself as a hardcore gamer. I have 180 games, for every Nintendo console and hendheld ever. I vist gaming websites frequently, I stay on top of all the news.

Definalty nto a casual appreciation of the art.

IMO hardcore gamers=own a 360 or ps3.
Casual=Wii

A hardcore gamer is simply someone whi looks for a challenge in any game. If he can beat a game without much difficulty, he will strive to do it in the minimum possible time, or without dying. Thus, a hardcore gamer can play pretty much any game and enjoy it to some degree.

I started on Atari 2600 and I own only a Wii this generation.  There are no labels for me except that I am rebel without a cause.
