Forums - Sony - What the PS5 might look like in 2018, dream specs listed inside!

The Ps5 will have tiny cables that go under your eye-lids and connect directly into your brain, it'll be virtual reality on a massive new level. But it's price will be too high and won't sell that well.

While the Wii HD (it can upscale to 720, nothing native) will sell 400 million

"I don't trust #XboxOne & #Kinect 2.0, it's always connected" as you tweet from your smartphone - irony 0_o

That thing looks pretty sick!

PREDICTIONS:
(Predicted on 5/31/11) END of 2011 Sales - Xbox 360 = 62M;  PS3 = 59M;  Wii = 97M

These pictures proving that there was a reason Sony has kept the same controller 3 generations running - those things are horrid

- USB 4 connection = fail, Bluetooth Standard 4.0 will be far superior for the PS5's needs

- DVD Drive with terabyte capacity: I doubt it, I'm expecting 100gb max for the PS4 and maybe 200gb max for PS5 (and I'm not even confident it'll be optical)

- Backward compatibility with DVD and CD data: The most likely prediction so far, if the PS5 uses optical drives, then it will support these. If it has no optical drive then it obviously wont.

- SD memory slots for terabyte capacity memory disks: SD cards are not disks. Sounds possible, though I don't think terabyte memory cards will exist/be cheap in 2018

- Wireless Controls: M - M - Massive call, I fully expect the PS5 to return to wired controls :P

- Wireless Connectivity with Internet: Again, the PS3 has this, as does the Wii

- Console will have rechargeable batteries: Finally, a bold prediction again. too bold some might say. There is no point to this unless the console has a built in screen.

- 3D projector that projects 3D images into the physical space between you and display device: Hmm, we shall see. People have been predicting that this technology is '10 years off' for about 30 years

- Touch buttons for power and eject: And back to boring claims. Come on, the PS3 has this, the Wii has something more practical and useful (conventional power buttons on the controllers)

- Blue Lights that glow in correlation to the battery status: PS3 controllers already have red lights that do this, and Wii controllers have this in blue

Shit predictions, someone was bored
