Forums - Sony - Why havent you "jumped in" yet? (PS3 owners only)

People say because i don't like MS's products... but that's not the reason...

1. Because i'm a PS3 owner with a sick gaming rig, so i get to play most of 360 exclusives sooner or later... The only ones that i like and i'm sure that are not going to PC are ToV and LO...

2. Because of hardware unreliability, i don't want RROD, disc scratching, etc. because it's a COMMON PROBLEM, if i have a hardware error it better be something that makes me say "what are the odds" or "fuck, millions of this and i get the damaged one", not something that you even expect "yeah, i have RROD, it was about time, so i already sent it", ... So until they fix those problems, i'm not even thinking about jumpin in to a cliff...

all the games i want are multiplatform.

i will never pay for online.

i don't like the 360 controller its bulky and ugly.

i love my symmetric dual shock 3.

i need wifi for online.

EDIT: my friend bought a second 360 since his elite E 74. bought a cheap arcade overseas by christmas, it got E 74 after playing on on a 32 C climate.

good job microsoft you screwed him twice, at least i convince him to get a ps3 now :P.

i am skipping star ocean 4 , i am not as rich as him to spent that amount of money shipping his console to the US, now in hope of a port later :(

1: Because you have to pay for wireless thingo and xbox live
2: Because the current exclusive arent better than the ps3 ones and the ps3 09/010 exclusives are far infront of the 360's too
3: Because I don't want to risk RROD
4: Because I only need 1 console

I cannot afford potential reliability problems, no matter how much they say they've improved it.
Until I am absolutely conviced it's at least as reliable as my PS3 I cannot afford to get one.
Where I am, there is no MS service center, 40 Deg C heat and sometime no aircon. My PS3 works just fine so far for over 18 months, I wouldn't trust a 360 yet.
To have any sort of warranty honored I'd need to export the unit so I'd might as well buy another unit, which kind of defeats the object of a warranty. Wouldn't you agree?

You do the maths and PS3 is cheaper. That was the reason I got it over a year ago. Great piece of hardware.

lol this can't be a real account can it?

As I stated in another thread similar to this one, I have a decent gaming PC, which nabs me a large portion of the 360's "exclusive" library, with free online as an added bonus.

Past that, the only titles I really wish I had were some of Live's offerings (ie. Braid, Castle Crashers, etc). (Story-less) Franchises like Gears and Halo never interested me, beyond the multiplayer aspect.

I just became a Dual-HD console owner. :D

Its an amazing experience. Just wait till you have both for a while. All these arguments over ps3 vs 360 graphics and all the complaints both sides try to through at each other become really hilarious when you step back.  When you own both suddenly you really stop caring about who has teh ultimatz cellz and gfx cardz.  You get whatever games you want.  Oh but you gotta make sure to still argue and stuff in the forums just for fun and to piss off the fanboys ;)

because if i buy a 360 what am im going to play? i only have 3 games on my ps3 and i have a list of games i want. im still finishing up gta 4. i really like resistance 2 but i havent bought it cuz i dont play many games but im younger then alot of you guys.

I just dont think that having 2 consoles in my room is a good idea, especially since both have pretty much the same games. I would have chose a 360 instead of PS3 if I got another chance to chose a console for me this gen, but since I have already bought a PS3 I am most likely not going to change anything.
