Just so you know, EA never suffers.  Its the developers staying up all hours of the day working on getting the game out that don't make enough money when you don't buy the games...  The shareholders, executives, managers, marketers, etc. all get their cash and the meager left overs are doled out to the people who do the work.

Don't overanalyse sarcasm. The joke here was that EA is serving the same game with little none differences and just slabbing a current year date to the title's name. Ergo piracy on some games is still illegal, but understandable.
