Looks like Ensemble thinks the way for RTS games to work on consoles is to make it less about infastructure and more about strategy and action. They have it so that X is a regular attack and Y is a special attack that has to charge back up.
Also, that mech is called the Cyclops. They liked the unit from Age of Mythology so much that they added a similar one to HW. It is a close combat unit.
Will there be any kind of resource? In the development diary it sounds so. If yes, which one?

There is a resource, but what it is I have no idea. Probably something along the lines of buildings on your base generate the resource. I have yet to see a resource gathering unit.
