i just played the RE5 demo, and was very underwhelmed. I will still buy the game, but imo it seemed a little mirky. It was very colorful, good textures, good character models, but still no proper character animations.
I felt like I was steering around a robot. And I seem to have forgotten how to switch weapons fast. I am sure there is a way, but every time I have to go to the weapon menu, select the shotgun, then say equip.
I guess after how amazing 4 was, I was expecting slight improvements. I am sure they are there, but I didn't notice them.
I don't see why anyone could definatively call Killzone 2 technically better than RE5 when the latter:
1. Runs at 60FPS vs 30
2. Has spatially distinct split-screen co-op when the former apparantly had 40% spew runtime to spare.
3. Runs on two distinct platforms and performs well on both.
I didn't read the thread because I have to leave, but there are my thoughts.
Tease.
IMO, RE5 >> KZ2 screenies - no comparison really. Characters more interesting, more detailed - the backgrounds in KZ2 seem to be very "generic" whereas RE5 has more colour, variety, geometry and detail.
Anyway, each to their own. I can't wait for KZ2 to finally release, so we can finally stop with these ridiculous 'KZ2 is the bezt grafficks ever' threads :P

I haven't looked at enough in motion RE5 to say definitively, but based off those screenshots RE5 absolutely owns KZ2.
