rofl, the PS2 still isn't 99 dollars yet? That's ridiculous. They're obviously gouging for every last dime they possibly can.

GC with superior hardware was 99 dollars AGES ago (in its own generation).

Well I don't really know its price, but I saw many 99€ PS2 in belgium last holidays... I dunno if it only was for xmas or if it's permanent.

OT: The console's still selling well and sony really needs money soo ... Maybe later this year.

I think when Sony starts to make money on the PS3 we will see a PS2 price drop Sony will try to squeeze every dollar out of the PS2 as possible to recoup for the PS3's Loses.

I doubt it ever will. Sony will discontinue it at its current price.

Why don't they stop making Playstation 2 and games for it! It's like 9 years old.
