At this point, it really does look like the year of the PS3 in terms of top-tier software, but that's the nature of Sony. They front-load their announcements

MS only announced Gears 2 in 08 and released it in 08 the rest were known from 07 or even before,,,the other games that MS announced during 08 and released in 08 were:

lips

you are in the moveis

viva paniata 2

scene it 2 (or something like that)

are those top-tier metrial to you?so i don't get why every one says that MS announced many top-tier games in 08 and released them in 08 when in fact there was only one top tier game that they announced and released in the same year.

The Gamecube maybe? I remember that GC exclusives tended to be very good and anticipated (and most importantly unique).

PS3 got impressive exclusives lineup. M$ need to do a good job, if they want at least to offer something, which can be called similar lineup. Let's wait for M$ to reveal secret games :)

Surprise Madworld made the list and also why Wii sports Resort didn't. The list is for western game enthusiasts so jrpgs won't be there if not involving final fantasy in some way. In that list I see 5 must buys for me and two maybes, Good start for the year for gamers, no matter the console.

Ok WTF, No COD MW2??? That will probably easily be among the top 5 best selling games of the year. This list is horrible or there are just too many decent releases for them to fit in the top 10.  It wold have been better if they made a top 5 list for EACH platform.  It would better represent what is highly anticipated without creating a bias even if that wasn't the intention.
