Forums - General - Are you popular?

I was always a quiet person and kept to myself. Now, I cant go anywhere without people shaking my hand or calling me by my name (and normally, I'm like "Hey there......uh....buddy. How's.....everything going with your......new....um..shirt?").

Yep. I'm popular in real life, but I don't really feel comfortable with it.

It depends on how you define popular.

There is a life outside of videogames? Really?

There is a building above your parents basement too

Fixed!

Thanks, I don't know how I made such a stupid mistake

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

I have a group of very close friends, but the majority of people know and like me, and I can hold a conversation with them. That's just how I want it to be, really.

Well a girl said to me the other night "omg you're like sooooooo popular". I had to hold back some giggles at the... high school kidness of her compliment. And I kinda feel that way right now too because all of the sudden every guy is like

Well, a few (like 10) years back I had the chance to be; I knew all of the people who would become popular, and I was friends with many of them. Then, as we grew up, I learned that they're all terrible people. So, I got new friends. Now, everyone pretty much leaves me alone who isn't my friend. It's better this way for me, because I hate being around lots of people all the time. ^_^

At school yes, the only popular people in real life are celebrities.

I have a descent size group of friends that like to hang out with me IRL.

If you define popular as people need to be seen interacting with me because I'm so cool, then no.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Conservatives:  Pushing for a small enough government to be a guest in your living room, or even better - your uterus.

Well I am popular for my gf and that is all what I want =D.

I was in high school.

Popularity kind of goes out the window after that though. People go to different colleges and it's hard to stay in touch. Now I have about 20 or so friends(not including the guys on my hockey team) who I know I can hang out with whenever so it's cool.
