Tales of Vesperia was, to me, the best JRPG I've played yet, and absolute perfect joy in a video game form, but prior to that SO3 was. And prior to playing SO3, Tales of the Abyss was, so with logical reasoning, Star Ocean 4 may well be my best soon. For now I'm gonna stay safe with a single SO4>ToV, but SO4 has a tougher egg to crack then SO3 did, as I haven't enjoyed a game so much this gen as Vesperia.

THE perfect Tales game, and as you may know, I hold Star Ocean and Tales on the same level.

Btw, what are the chances of VP Extra Side-Quests happening with SO4? i think that may be the breaking point for SO4, remeber Till the end of Time had a HUGE amount of side-quests to do, dunno bout you man but i never finshed all of them to this day, it was ridiculus.

Btw what makes ToV so great in your opinion? to me it feels like the same game as legendia symphonia etc... only with new characters..... The graphics are to Anime-ish. >:(

Gah! NEVER put Legendia in the same sentence as Vesperia! BLASPHEMY!!!!

Symphonia was again, the only Tales I've never played through when given the chance. I got pretty far in it, but it never held my interest that long. If you want a comparable Tales, try Tales of the Abyss. But Vesperia is about 2-3 times better.

The characters are fantastic; with the exception of Karol all of them have perfect VOs, and the main character is the most badass JRPG lead in history. The story is fairly normal, but it moves at such a great pace it seems really unique. Combat is fast, addicting, and imo even better then Star Ocean.

Vesperia has free roam combat, with amazing new moves and finishers like the brust artes and psychotically good mystic artes. It  starts off pretty basic, but by the time you get Overlimit(fairly early) you'll be shooting off massive combos with ease.

I loved the graphics, but if you don't thats definately not the selling point of this game. It seems a bit kiddy at first, but the main characters end up being the most mature acting characters in  any game ever made in Japan(Again with the exception of Karol. Rita's constant PMS is actually pretty funny rather then annoying. Oh, and Raven is awesome)

The game is also really long, with tons of sidequests and customization. For JRPG lovers, it was the perfect game for me :)

Well, you got a 360. The demo isn't really like the full game, but if you want to try out how combat will be at the beginning of the game try it out, before you get tons of combos and stuff.

I'll give it rent i guess, though i've only played legendia. so ever since then i've hated tales games lmao! it was good but meh... if there all like legendia omfg hellz no.
