Right now people stand MS' PC SW (lack of) quality just because of the position of strength granted to MS by preinstalled OS and all the legacy, lowering quality in games, where a position of strength doesn't exist (and where MS has had for a long time some series of games with more than decent quality helping a lot MS' image on a matter were it never shone), could be a suicide.
