Forums - Gaming - Dragonball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is the best anime-based video game

I agree that the best Dragon Ball game is Tenkaichi 3. Budokai 3 was great for me, but it is more a traditional fighter and, except for the cutscenes and animations when doing super moves, the gameplay doesn't feel like the anime in the same way Tenkaichi 3 does.

The problem with Tenkaichi 3 is that it may feel repetitive because almost all characters play similar, and is a lot of button smashing. The good thing is, because it has like 140 characters, if you learn the moves with one, you practically learn the game, where Budokai 3 there were a lot of different combinations for each character to chain combos, and learn all of them would take a LOT of time.

I'm quite surprised your friends like to play the game and all. Most times I invite friends, they say it's awesome, but just too complicated to pick up and play. The tutorial is a most in this game.

I saw this videos and help me a lot to learn to chain huge combos. And I mean HUGE!, more than 100 hits in some cases.

Edit: Ohh, and the best anime game is the Wii Death Note fighting game... you know what I'm talking about

I agree tenkaichi is the best DBZ game and 3 is the best one so obviously that one. They made the mimic moves much better and more accurate compared to number 2 as well.

They are a billion times more accurate and fun than the first 3 budokai games. It is dumb only being able to move sideways is a bitch slap in any dbz fans face.

if only online wasn't so laggy, but still you can always make the battles tough against computer. You know 5 vs. 1 hardest difficulty. and yes if you have the ps2 i could see it getting boring soon becuse you just push up triangle for 1 move and left triangle of other ect. for all the specials. and you know all 140 characters done.

While the Wii one you have to do 1 of many different arm movements and have to know which move their special is.  If you want to do their ultimate you can't just push up and triangle, you have to know what teh special is for that character and then do the motion that mimics it.  So WII Verson wins hands down

irstupid gets what I'm saying.

Look, in order to make Goku do a Kame Hame Ha, I have to pretend that I am doing one.

That is so absurd and so stupid it goes all the way back around into being awesome.

The Bleach DS fighters are far superior.

But the first thing I thought was, BT3 is not even the best in the series. That title belongs to BT2.

What?! No, in what way Tenkaichi 2 is better than 3? I cannot enjoy Tenkaichi 2 the same after playing 3.

yea tenkaichi sucks compared to 3. To do the specials all you do is have that gay ass pointer on the screen and aim if off the left side, then back on. and so on for up and right.

less fighters, easier ai, not as cool specials, no punch dodging, and list could go on. Tenkaichi 3 is vastly superior to tenkaichi 2.

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm

Yes, Tenkaichi 3 is better than part 2 in every way.

Not in my opinion. BT3 took out pointer functionality. That was the biggest progression I had ever seen in fighting video games. Without them, the Wii remote controls are a clusterfuck of disorganization and scatter. I am a little bit disappointed to see people adore the regression the follow up provided.

BT3 was a simpler version of BT2 which just fails off the top in this case. Not that you guys probably know what I am saying anyway, you all probably use Classic or Gamecube pads. I simply cannot enjoy this game at all.

Still, Bleach Dark Souls pwns this game. I did not see anybody argue that one...

I have only ever used the Wii Remote and nunchuck combination.
