Forums - Gaming - FFXII: Revenant Wings - Midlight's Deep

Heh. First thread ever. Anyway, This game is kicking my ass in a majorly humiliating way... all the way around! FFIV DS was a great game and it’s hard...and can be frustrating overall, but Revenant Wings is just ridiculous towards the end levels. I guess I just have to level up my characters above 60 or so... maybe 70 or higher Funny, as I didn’t care for this game when I bought it a year ago. I ended up liking it. I’m just wondering if anybody has ever completed this? I just want to know because I cannot be the only one... LOL

[***Note: Please don’t mention things like Action Replay as I do not try to use it. Though, I admit I’ve used it on Pokémon games... Too damn time-consuming. That’s it! ] [Also, I’ve tried to search the site, and it seems there hasn’t been any threads about this...]

If you're looking for game specific help, this isn't really a good place to look. Go to gamefaqs.com and go to the forum for the game ad odds are you'll fine someone there has asked and gotten an answer for the same question. If not you will have more luck posting your own question there.

Oh, nah.. I'm not really looking for anything specific.. I wuz just wondering if anybody is having trouble with it as i'm having. That's all..

i beat it. ya, it was really hard. i found it quite boring after a while too =/

but ya, when ur at the last level, they decided to raise the level needed to play up by like 25 levels, and i had to grind for hours until i finally was able to beat it.

I don't recall that mission in particular, is it a side mission? The main storyline ones weren't too hard as I recall, but some of the side ones were brutal. There's some tricks you can use 'cause the AI is kind of dumb (like resurrection/quickening loops, running in circles around the map).

edit:  Ah yes it's the 10-level dungeon to power up Vaan's weapon.  The main trick you use is to give all the summoned creatures to Basch, power up his quickening (to make his entire group invincible), then send him in raging.  Hopefully he fills his quickening again before it wears off, so you can chain them together.  Otherwise just rez him and run away and repeat.

That's the last side mission though, and while you'll need to be probably 70+ for it, if you beat Bahamut and Zodiark already you shouldn't have any trouble with the main storyline missions (can beat at 50 pretty easy).
