Rourke LOST?! Fuck this shit! I'm quitting the Oscars!
Quem disse que a boca é tua?
Qual é, Dadinho...?
Dadinho é o caralho! Meu nome agora é Zé Pequeno!

Rourke was not the best actor this year. Langella put on a better performance. Rourke's performance and Sean Penn's were about equal.
We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke
It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...." Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson
Hey akuma! I have one more example of a movie that got nominated 13 times and didn't go home with the big prize, Benjamin Button!

I was also upset that Rourke didn't get the prize.
Loved him since Diner, oh and 9 1/2 weeks.
Did you see him covering his face? He was so nervous - and wanted to win so bad.
The oscars went pretty much exactly the way I thought it would.

It happens. My other predictions for the night were pretty spot on. I got all of the actress and screenplay categories right. I mean Danny Boyle is a talented guy, so I don't really begrudge him the actor. And while I didn't think Slumdog was the best movie of the year, I have seen much bigger unjustices done at the Oscars. Raging Bull v. Ordinary People comes to mind.
Frankly, the biggest surprise of the night was Milk. I think the Academy was trying to make reparations for Brokeback Mountain v. Crash.
Note: Not all my predictions above were the same as my predictions last night to avoid any confusion.

Am I the only one that thought Benjamin Button just wasn't a good film? My girlfriend and I watched about an hour of it before turning it off to watch TV instead. It just didn't our interest at all.
I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.
Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.
Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!
Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Maybe it's because you were watching a poorly made illegal copy of it huh stof?
On the contrary Ony, it was a high quality "oscar consideration" copy. It just sucked.
