Well, the quality/hype ratio makes lair come to mind...
But I only mention that because the instant I read this thread my brain went "Quick! Only 9 replies, be the first to say ET for Atari!" but no, you covered it in the OP. So you've basically ended the thread, because ET is the be-all end-all of terrible games. When I first played it, I was too young to realize I wasn't doing anything wrong. Eventually you fall in the pit and can't get out. It wasn't fair... I tried so hard... so hard... but I could never win...
