I loved this seasons finale. Best moments were the reveal of Jacob, the current John Locke is a fake, Juliet getting sucked into the pocket of energy and whether or not they changed their future or whatever happened, happened.

Pseudo Locke, and almost everyone else, will now repeat the same exact timeline that Jacob had lived through.
That's if Jacob is actually dead. To quote him, it only ends once.
So i don't think Locke is reborn for no reason and i assume he has taken Jacob's role as the time keeper.

Poor Juliette, she was hot. Oh and MEGA CLIFFHANGER, if you believe that the timeline can actually be changed. I really think the explosion produced a massive donkey wheel spin that takes everyone from 2008 forwards or backwards.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Yeah, next season is going to be crazy! o.O

I stopped watching Lost when I found out they want to drag it out till 2012 or whatever. That is a little too long for me to keep interested in. It was pretty interesting to watch. Think I watched most episodes or all up to about season 3 or 4.

Next season (6) is the final season.

Oh, I guess they changed their minds. I watched a little special episode on abc.com awhile back about the series and they were saying 2012 or so time frame.

I *believe* there were originally supposed to be seven seasons but I think the season the writers strike happened they had to move things around a bit and condensed two season into one.

loved the finale! i believe Jacob and his "friend" on the beach represents good vs. evil...Jacob is the good and the other one is the evil..on the beach they talk about how jacob is still trying to prove the other guy wrong, that people can live in peace and not that "they come fight they, destroy, they corrupt." The other guy states how much he wants to kill Jacob, but both men are immortal and immortals cannot kill each other, so the other guy tries to find a loophole in order to kill Jacob. So since Locke died, he took over his body and he was the perfect candidate to do this since he just became the leader of the "others" before he died. Zombie Locke then tells and convinces Ben (a mortal) to kill Jacob. Jacob also represents God in a way because everyone on the island looks up to him and takes orders from him even though theyve never met him or knows what he looks like. Cannot wait til the final season!!

"If new things are so great, where have they been the whole time?"

I enjoyed it but I have to say that the character motivation part was at the very least rushed.

Sawyer goes from kicking Jack's ass to helping him. Juliet goes from being level-headed to changing her mind twice. Jack is really doing it for Kate, etc.

Those things are not bad per se, but the writers had to spend so much time talking about mythology that the characters motivations kinda took a back seat and it all had to happen in a second.

But I do admit it was pretty fun.

Too bad about no Desmond. Hopefully he will be back next season.

On the plus side, I love how this show talks so much about fate vs free-will.

Jacob tells Ben that he has a choice. Fake Locke convinces Ben why he should do it. Its as if Ben will only accomplish it if he wants to.

All the characters might be pawns in a game, but they choose to follow.
