A few notes:

Software is really doing very strongly week over week now that the price drop is in full effect. Even though software didn't increase strongly the 1st week, it seems now that it's becoming very strong, with 6 of the top 10 games having very little (sub-10%) drops, or increases.

#1 and #2 shootes RSV and R:FOM did phenominal for the week, and should see continued strong sales for quite some time.

NCAA FB2008 has also seen a strong drop in comparison to the X360 counterpart. Expect a good ending in terms of sales.

Also, we've seen Motorstorm increase due to bundling. I have no idea how long the Motorstorm bundles are going to sell, but they should end up propelling Motorstorm atleast to 750k or more.

NGS and Oblivion also see great drops. From Software also made a very smart move with the EM port. With 57k units sold and climbing, EM should wind up with somewhere around 150-175k units sold to nearly match the X360 version.

With Madden Week coming up, expect huge sales. The big question is if Madden 08 boosts hardware sales, or not. Either way, M08 should do fantastic on PS3. Expect 200-300k sales for it's first week.

Unlike the US Charts, despite such a decent hold in hardware (by some miracle), software outside of EBG5 wasn't the same way. Massive drops all around were the orders of the day, with no game dropping less than 20%.

However, the good news is that EBG has totally out-paced Gundam Mousou. At 3 weeks, despite a better opening, Gundam Mousou sold only 18,429 copies, and amassed 233,054 sales. Therefore, EBG5 is 25,000 units ahead now at the same time, and sold 15,000 copies more this week. Therefore, if EBG5 mimiced Gundam Mousou's drops (which if anything, it should do better), then EveryBody's Golf will reach atleast 345,931 copies sold. That'd easily outmatch Gundam Mousou's current 283,010 copies by quite a bit.

Hopefully next week, with no new games (again), and more PS3s sold, new addopters choose to start purchasing new copies of old(er) games. At 20% drops across the board for older games, it looks rather bleak. However, EBG5 should be considered a great succuess considering the PS3's userbase and software attach ratio. Lets hope it leads to more sales in Japan for other software, and the PS3 hardware.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
