In general, the GDC is a pretty quiet conference and most of the big announcements are from middleware companies ... Developers will line up to see Myiamoto speak, and when he is done developers will want to give up on their current games and start simple (fun) Nintendo DS and Wii games; obviously, they won't but much like Iwata in 2005 (I think) he will inspire ... Sony will try to use the conference to boost its image and will announce things that people either already know or are not that impressed by ... Microsoft will spend their time trying to push Window's Vista and the XBox 360 as a single development platform ...

What I wanna see for any Sony systems: - God of War PSP - Kingdom Hearts III - Final Fantasy Vs XIII - Mortal Kombat Next Gen - Twisted Metal - God of War PS3 - Resident Evil 5 - Bully 2 - Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror 2 - Metal Gear Solid 4 - Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops 2 - Guitar Hero 80's - Guitar Hero 3 - Killzone 2 - Devil May Cry 4 - Red Dead Revolver - Manhunt 2 - Final Fantasy XIII - The Warriors 2 - Grand Theft Auto: San Andrea's Stories - Max Payne 3 - Turok - Prince of Persia next gen - Assassins Creed - Psy-Ops 2 And Plenty More. Most of them wont happen, infact I know 80% I wont see there but I would love to see them there.

Well now I dont feel picked on by your negative sentiment. I'm really looking forward to wendsday. I might have to re-install my computer between now and then. (I am haveing a audio codec disaster...) I'm eager to what nintendo has to say and do. I simply dont see what I wanna see from their side of the fence. Sony... like roadkillers just posted... has a hellalot of stuff I wanna see... God of War PSP. Oh crap I forgot about Heavenly Sword, Lair, and White Knight Story. How could I forget about Heavenly Sword, its one of my most anticipated. At first I thought you hated Sony and liked the Wii but I guess I was wrong.

You guys do realize that this is GDC and not E3? The press coverage is minimal, and it is mostly a time to hear discussions on technologies/methodologies that are important to industry insiders ... You're 100 times as likely to see a post mortum on God of War than you're to see a screenshot of God of War for the PS3 ... Edit: Here is Gamasutra's GDC 06 coverage http://www.gamasutra.com/gdc2006/ (Gamasutra is one of the websites of the CMP game group who runs the Games developer conference) Notice how few game announcements there were?

Iwata's keynote last year totally won me over to Nintendo's side and their new 'blue water' approach to gaming (I owned both a PS2 and Xbox last gen' but didn't seriously consider the GameCube).
