Forums - General - Obama being sworn in, what was with him forgetting what to say?

He was being sworn in and he  forgot what to say. you could tell that he was nervous but then he gave his speech and it didn't mess up a single word. So i was just wondering if anyone else found it wierd that he forgot what to say when being sworn in but remembered his speech, when being sworn in is more important than giving a speech. I noticed when the news people were interviewing people it was just about him being black, "never thought that i would see a black president in my day" but everyone was black for the most part, makes me think that black people voted for him just because he was black.

I knew this is what everyone would focus on. People with think of this and forget to analyze his speech.

He got nervous+ he hates his middle name apparently.

What did you think of his speech monkeyman?

He is a good a good public speaker, that is why i thought it was wierd that he screwed up on one of the most simple parts of the process.

It is not that Obama forgot what to say, but that Chief Justice Roberts misspoke whilst administering the oath.

Of course black people will find it more of an impact that a black president was elected, which is why they were interviewed. There were clearly many ethnicities at the ceremony though.

He probably had cue cards or a prompter or something for the speach... and not for being sworn in.

That's the reason.

He didn't forget what to say. The thing is the judge messed up and said the wrong thing and thats why he stopped until the guy said the right thing.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

At first I thought it was, but it wasn't actually Obama's mistake.

Dude thats pretty ignorant and racist. Black people voted for him, black people went to the inauguration, etc.

He was the best man for the job and if you were honest with yourself you would actually see that.

You think McCain was a better choice? Surprisingly alot of white people didn't agree on voting day.
