All I know is they better have some good marketing and they need to start ASAP! The game releases in a month and I still haven't seen any TV or movie ads! No one but the hardcore internet forum user will even be hyped for this game and it will receive Resistance 2-like sales if they don't step it up!

That doesn't say anything about the selling power of either franchise. You're basically implying here that neither can hang with the big boys so it's best they release away from other titles. Res 2 and KZ 2 should be the kinds of titles releasing in Fall that other titles get scared of, but marketing has not made that happen.
Also it works the other way too. Killzone 2 doesn't get the benefit of the Christmas rush, and even many of the gift cards people get for Christmas will have been spent.

Thank you, Onyx.
I'm kinda hoping for maybe a Super Bowl ad or something, since last thing I heard were all tv spots havent been taken yet and the price is gonna start to come down. But I imagine that we will see quite a few tv spots, even if it wont be in the Super Bowl
I think Sony will market it like Lbp or more beacuse i think they have spent to much money on it for not to succed.
