I believe and god and I believe that Jesus Christ is my saviour and I won't ever deny it no matter what people say.

To be honest I believe that Evolution is just a bunch of New World Order propaganda, hell the scientific community won't even allow there to be proper debates between Intelligent Design and Evolution and anyone who does a research paper even stating possibilities of I.D is scrutinized and looses funding or there job (watch Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed, really good movie)

I don't know I find it less crazy to believe that there is a god who created this Universe and thats how life started, than to to have a theory of life staring off the back of crystals (thats a popular theory of how we went from an inorganic world to that of the cell......WOW)

Since you believe in Jesus I won't argue that...

But in the case of Intelligent design, where's the proof? What grounds do they have for "proper debates"?

Oh, and I find it crazy to believe in any universal origin since it's unknowable at the moment.

At the same time why do they allow there to be discussion of life starting off the backs of crystals but when there is some really interesting theories for I.D people are scrutinized and loose there jobs, seriously, watch the movie Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed, it's very insightful.

Seriously? That movie has been hugely debunked as being terribly misleading in pretty much all aspects. Have a read through this article. Also have a browse through the wikipedia page, it has even more interesting (and quite well sourced) stuff.

The unfortunate thing is that site's like Expelled exposed never let the other side answer or respond to any of the claims or debunking statements that it supports. They use their opinions and supposed "Facts" taken from the other side and don't ask the people from the movie to respond to it.

You have to admit though, life starting on the backs of crystals sounds a lot more out there than an intelligent higher beinging.

The evidence against Expelled is pretty damning as far as lacking journalistic integrity goes. I'm sure there are far more respectible sources of information of ID than that movie.

Even the single incident of the Charles Darwin quotation issue (Wiki) is enough to make the entire movie a farce, let alone all the other reported incident.

@ Nirvana

I don't know about the whole crystal thing. It seems that evolution would be much more plausible than intelligent design as we can observe it and observe past traces of it occuring.

About your whole debating of intelligent design vs evolution. It couldn't be a natural debate because the paradigm would naturally be in the scientific realm and as far as I have read, intelligent design doesn't have any scientific facts.

Anyway the only way you could debate intelligent design is probably in a realm of philosophy or something abstract...which would never resolve the debate.

I mean you could debate whetere creationism (intelligent design...what's more 'intelligent': infinite possibility or a static planet) vs evolution is a more powerful idea toward the creative potential of human beings, or something along those lines. Something that probably, isn't currently being quantified by science. Of course this type of debate would never give any more credibility to creationism.

I myself can say that I think that one of the greatest written works in English is inspired by the creation story (Paradise Lost) but that gives it no more truth.

Anyway

You are right about something. There are too many theories, especially taught in school, that the scientific community take as fact, and refuse to question.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

Obligatory dick measuring Gaming Laptop Specs: Sager NP8270-GTX: 17.3" FULL HD (1920X1080) LED Matte LC, nVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M, Intel Core i7-4700MQ, 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3, 750GB SATA II 3GB/s 7,200 RPM Hard Drive

i dont believe in god, however i accept that a form of life superior to humanity may exist, however i would argue that a species being more evolved than us does not make them gods

The crystal  thing is actually a popular theory believe it or not. Suprised me too.

My point is that i believe the scientific community should be more open to allowing debates because some of these guys for I.D do have interesting arguments and they do use scientific facts to support there theories. You  have to take a look at what scientist from that side of the spectrum are saying instead of what the Evolutionists claim there points are.

I mean if there was an equal opportunity for funding as well there would be more room to grow and larger opportunities for testing different theories instead of just pointing out flaws in the evolution theory to explain why it can't be possible.

To each his own though.

I personally think it was more along the lines of "know you know how we feel" because the lack of integrity in some of the things that evolutionists say about people of religious beliefs ect is very ignorant.

I mean why haven't any of these sources who claim to debunk the people of the movie for example ask the actual people to be able to comment on what was being said after? It'll never happen because thats not how things work. They'll say well I.D is a ridiculous theory and from their perspective it may very well be but I find it ridiculous that they wont even allow proper debates to be held and at least give the I.D guys a chance to give their side.

I think the problems with this 'debate' is that both sides are so dogmatic (although I do side with science) that it becomes impossible to discuss.

Does anyone know when the whole Intelligent Design movement started? I don't remember hearing much about it when I was younger, although it may have been because I wasn't all that tuned in, plus I'm only 22.

Are you seriously suggesting that 'it's okay for us to do it because someone did it to us first'?  Also, I don't think the types of comments you refer to rise to the level of entire documentary movies full of false propaganda.

Many debates have in fact taken place, so it's clear that you don't know what you're talking about.  Or have they all been "improper"?

The Intelligent Design movement started basically right after creationism was ruled unconstitutional in public schools in several states.  Coincidence I'm sure.
