Among the things that caught his eye in 2008 are PSP’s strong performance and the popularity of downloadable content (DLC) for home consoles. However, he says it’s not easy to have DLC for games like Final Fantasy because it has to be a full package."

Monster Hunter really must have had SE salavating and just look how Dissidia is doing. The PSP has done very well compared to the Nintendo handheld monster but it has at least sold 40 million, something other non-nintendo handhelds could not do.

The lack of games though from the west.......damn. Software sales outside Japan are pathetic and cant help but think piracy is the problem, especially when GOW: COO had 300K downloads on one piracy site.

Maybe they should take note that only 1 psp game charted in the us top 200. And it was the bundled Ratched and clank while the DS is on par with the Xbox 360.

Kitase and Nomura sure love PSP...

Capcom will be wanting to make love to who ever thought of the PSP as well ;)

Indeed, their VP of R&D said they have interesting new projects for PSP that will be announced this and next year as well...
