Are you implying that the 360 is a more desirable secondary console purchase than the PS3 is?

 

No, just saying that one is much easier to purchase over there other, the Arcade model is half the price of the PS3 at the moment, therefore its less of issue to obtain a 360 over a PS3.

But if you inclued all the extra gear like Wi-fi and all that sort of thing that changes things all-together if you want the full xbox experience.

In that case the 360 would end up being more expensive.

Overall it "Depends".

 

Well of course the 360 full experience is more expensive. To get the full experience you would need to purchase every accessory and game for it and there are obviously more games on 360 than on PS3. Then again, to get the full experience of the PS3 you have to purchase every Blu Ray movie, so maybe it's a tie.

 

Exactly. that and what games the gamer is more interested in at the time, as well as the "Friends" aspect of it all.

those things can influence a purchase of the 2 systems with ease, the games play only a partial role major as it is. :P

Dont forget HDMI cord for HD movies thats another 70 bones.

Whats wrong? The try to overhype every single PS3 exclusive.

nothing's wrong with hyping a game. But the PS3 has many hype worthy games coming out so it won't stop anytime soon

Nothing wrong with it. It just gets annoying after a bit......I mean some people take it to far and bash everything aroudn them because they've got one game.

That "savior" shit was also ridiculous.

Anyways hype isnt bad people just need to be.....civil about it?

There is no such thing as hype worthy. Some games get hyped and some don't on here. It doesn't affect how many people purchase the game though. It just shows forums like these have nothing in common with the everyday consumer.

well as ive said, sony sure seems to suck at hyping good games, a lot of games could of sold a whole lot more with proper advertising.

Sony put their marketing muscle behind Little Big Planet, thinking it would pull a Wii or something, when they had three other games with a lot more selling power. It was a poor decision on their part.
