Forums - Sony - Resistance 2 offline multiplayer.

I got a question about Resistance 2. I know Killzone 2 doesn't have offline multiplayer, but I'm wonder if R2 has it, because i want to have a friend over to play with me together (and i don't want any non-exclusive =P). I heard about this offline co-op mode (in a seperate story) but i'm not sure if it has any other offline multiplayer (splitscreen)

Can anyone help me out?

no splitscreen and it's a shame because that was why we loved r1. Is splitscreen hard to implement? whats wrong with devs nowadays?

R2 is so awesome co-op.

It has offliine co-op play which is not the main storyline, but six different maps, and a total of fifty or sixty scenarios that never play out the same. You pick between three classes (Soldier - a 'tank', Spec Ops - Supply soldier with ammo, medic with bioplasm, and a Medic - use bioplasm to heal allies). It's MMO like because you need other people to help you finish the missions. If you play off-line split-screen co-op, missions will be hard because you will be missing a vital key to your group.

Your local friend can play online with you with other people (up to 8) if you would like them too.

Also, you can play comp with your local friend with up to 60 people.

There is a separate campaign. It's just that you are not part of Hale's team in that campaign.

you run through a separate campaign as part of the specter team. You have to clear up areas where Hale has already been and such. Your objectives mainly revolve around gathering grey tech and making sure the chimera don't get a foothold in the area.

It's to show that it's not just 1 man fighting the war (which is already blatantly obvious in the singleplayer).

And as Jo said: virtually impossible to do with just you and your friend. be prepared to die a LOT and not finishing a mission at all... :p With only two classes represented if you play with just the two of you, chances are you will suffer tremendously :p Go online and team up with others, who can balance out the classes you don't have in your offline game.

great, thanks for the info guys =)
