I think as an added note, if I see any more of these fan-made youtube video's that compare shit I'm gonna barf xD I like how they use the word effects everytime they want you to read something >_>; They should post a screenshot of both games next to each other, add some youtube colors (y'know, where it just changes from green to red to blue etc etc etc) and call it 1 star crap, saving us the time to even bother watching ;/

Halo never became a hit because of graphics.

Online shooters need to be fun and easy to get into, like Halo and COD4/5.

THAT, and not graphics, will be why anyone cares about killzone 2 a month after it comes out.

 



Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

Bad comparison, even 360 games from late 2007 look better than Halo 3... hell Gears 1 from 06 looks better than Halo 3.

Halo 3 is NOT meant to look realistic,it has the casual appeal,thats why it sells good,and it looks kinda cartooney but its a good thing,especally since it has wide open battlefields...

I dont think anyone would disagree, but it not a fair comparison

  • Halo 3 was released much earlier
  • Halo 3 has a different art direction
  • Halo 3 supports 4 person offline Co-op
  • From the pictures shown it looks like killzone2 use an indoor engine. Not once have i seen a  large scale outdoor area. (ie large outdoor areas are MUCH harder to do due to larger number of triangles needed!)
