Bats/sticks/logs/planks are all the same shit.

So using an object that resembles a stick, (although it has a pointy pick on the end) that studies have shown to cause effective instant death is the same as beating with a bat (which probably wouldn't instantly kill unless you were to crush the entire skull).

Its the same as how cows are killed, only they are killed with a bolt gun (which isn't really a gun, more like a jackhammer with a reusable bolt driven into the cows skull)

 

But still being beaten by whatever is still messed up.

 

 

I think I get the problem here. You seem to care more about how displeasing the death looks to you than you do about how the seal feels. Because death by bat is more displeasing visually, you are convinced it is a worse way to kill, regardless of what the seal has to go through.

In other words, you want an entire industry to shut down to accomodate for your personal phobias.

Also, you didn't answer the question I posed earlier, about whaling. If you made a topic about whaling with the exact same arguments, it would actually be a decent discussion because the arguments you pose here actually make sense when it comes to the whaling issue.

Well Cows are eaten everywhere,  how many people can say they've eaten seal. I stick by my opinion that eating a seal is the same as eating shit and piss.

1.  I've never had seal meat before, I've never even had moose meat before (which is hugely popular in Newfoundland). Like you, I can't bring myself to eat something that I'm not used to and didn't grow up with.
2.  So what if they like it? You like beef, so you eat it.

Your argument here is that since it's not a popular world food source, it's disgusting and wrong to eat.  This is OK for an opinion on personal preference (that is, what you would find disgusting and not want to eat) but it's totally wrong to take your personal tastes (or global popularity of a given food) and claim it constitutes some kind of moral imperative. 

'It's not wrong because lots of people do it' 'It is wrong because few people do it' 'I do it so it must be OK'  Your argument disgusts me.  (Therefore, by your logic, you are sick and wrong.)

Just to get back to this for a minute:

1. Would you go on to say that moose hunters are evil, satanic, nasty fucks as well?

2. The frequency at which you eat beef doesn't matter. You still support the murdering of several cows a year. Cows that feel pain. Secondly, I haven't heard anyone ever cheering the seal hunters on either, I don't quite understand the point of even saying that.
