You have just listed three of the same source. All on POLAR BEARS!?

I think this debate, if you could call it that, should really end right now. You are making arguments on things you have done no research on, demonizing people you do not even know.

The sources I am looking for? I thought it to be clear. That clubbing seals is found to be more painful or less humaine than that of a slughter house and that harp seals are still being killed as regular practice. Of course, this source should come from somewhere credible as was the one I provided from the DFO.

 

 

 

There's a reason I posted a polar bear source. It has to do with something a few pages ago. They tried to tell me Polar bears are not endangered while infact polar bears are very threatened and they can face endangerment.

Yes largedarryl, you are correct. I actually grew up nearby where the seal hunt occurs (although, I have never seen the hunt, a hakopik, nor a sealer before in my life) but there are no walruses, polar bears nor sharks in that area of the gulf of St. Lawrence.

I'm not trying to force my beliefs on anyone. It's more like people in here coming trying to knock my beliefs. If someone believes in eating seals, they can go knock themselves out, but I as an American have the right to think its evil. :)

I believe in your right to think that the seal hunt is wrong, but I would prefer that you be informed about what you are against.  I would fully support you if you knew all the facts and disliked the seal hunt, but coming in here and spreading FUD is something that I cannot stand.

Are you kidding? You are demonizing an entire group of people, none of which you know, and you whine that people are knocking your beliefs. That is a perfect example of sheer ignorance.

I don't think its fud to believe a seal hunt is sick and un needed. Just saying, I'm not trying to rag on your opinion. I just find it hard to believe animals get chased with baseball bats and beaten to death.

Demonizing.. It's my opinion if I think its wrong, just like you think its okay to eat and kill seals. It's your opinion..

People get chased with machete's and chopped to death in Africa.... just to give you a little perspective

It is not FUD to believe it. That is not what he is saying. It is how you are attempting to justify your opinion, with completely unfounded claims.

I can sympathize with you. The clubbing of a seal looks absolutely horrendous. But, you are completely overlooking the fact that it has been found to be just as humaine as what is done in a slaughterhouse.

The only difference being that in a slaughterhouse, there are closed doors, cows are not cute, and it is a much bigger industry and they have the power to fight these animal rights groups. The sealers, on the other hand, are typically easy living people, do their work in the open in fields of white (effectively contrasting the blood), and have very little representation to defend them.

I realize the images and the videos are difficult to see though, but please try to research the issue a bit more before publicly denouncing hundreds of people.

Well, these people are from the same nation where a guy decapitated a person sleeping on a Grey Hound not that long ago, so maybe something about living that far North changes people.
