agreed. Diablo 2 is 89% at gameranking but it is often mentioned in lists for best games of all time.

 



MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

Is this a real question?

I'd take an Ensemble RTS over a Blizzard RTS any day of the week...on PC. This is a console RTS developed by a studio that was recently closed down (and thus won't have strong motivation to finish it well), versus one of PC gaming's finest, in a genre that performs far better on PC.

Btw, Starcraft has outsold all three Halos, and an RTS for consoles won't sell near as well as Bungie's titles, despite the Halo moniker. There's no way in hell Halo Wars will come close to Starcraft II in sales.

Seriously starcraft is the best RTS ever made and the definition of the genre.  I can fire it up right now and play for 10 hours.

Um, I hate to burst your bubble, but Starcraft II looks like an expansion pack for Starcraft (with prettier graphics I spose)

No, the best RTS in 2009 will be a surprise. If BFME3 is released in 09 then we have a clear winner

But the chances of them making a BFMEIII are barely higher than the chances of Ensemble rising from the grave and making an Age of Mythology II.

I'd kill for both, though.  :(

That's because there was no sequel to steal away Starcraft's fans.  :P

Age fans are now divided between Age of Empires II, Age of Mythology (where I fall), and Age of Empires III.  The Age of Empires series (not including Mythology, from what I understand), has thus far sold over 20 million units.

Uprising is coming out March, but it's not going to be on retail. EA is exclusively releasing the expansion on digital distribution services for PC. So if you want to get the expansion, you'll have to buy it on Steam or something.

The good thing is they said that since it's only coming digitally, they're going to pass on what they saved on packaging to the consumers and Uprising will only be $20 !!! EA is getting more awesome by the minute.

EDIT: I think they must've been very impressed with Steam, and DDs in general.

I disagree, IMO  AoE and AoM was just as much fun Starcraft and Warcraft.  As for outselling it, I do not see it happening.  Starcraft II will sell loads, not to mention it is selling in 3 parts.
