100% (thanks Prosgno):

August (5 weeks 27 July -31 august)

NDS: 118.500
PSP: 63.000
WII: 39.000
360: 31.000
PS3: 27.500
PS2: 19.000

Hardware total Italy (31 august)

1 PS2: 5.450.500
2 NDS: 2.611.000
3 PSP: 1.375.500
4 PS3: 607.000
5 WII: 602.500
6 360: 499.000

PS3 holds on for another month, although Wii should take it in September, but with PES & FIFA in October we can expect PS3 to briefly take back the lead that month.

Wii continues dropping (when correcting for the 5 week month) from it's Wii Fit & MK Wii peak. I'm not so sure that Wii Music will be as big a hit though, so Wii may have to rely on the two previously mentioned games to sustain Q4 sales.

Great month for 360, September should be even better with price drop.

Next month most probably.

Spain and Italy may be poorer that other European countries but not by much.If you dropped by in Rome or Madrid and later onto Paris,Berlin or Manchester you wouldnt see that much of a difference....I would say even that the two former look more modern.Italy has been passing through rough times the later years (and they will continue as long as they keep voting that cancer of Berlusconi) ,but in what Spain is concerned you dont see much difference with other european countries ...and if you do its with the more developed as Germany , Holland,Norway,Sweden or Denmark ...not with UK ,France ,Belgium or Austria for example ..and its way above others as Portugal ,Greece and most (all ) of the eastern countries that entered the EU not so long ago.

Spain is lacking in some areas as education ,democratic tradition (its getting a two party thing as in the US very fast...but the two parties here hate each other with a passion),small I+D in many areas ,and the wages are specially low compared to some other countries ...but its things you would hardly notice if you actually visited the country.Very subtle things .As market its as developed as others and if its smaller its usually because its demography (43-44 million instead of the 65+ of Germany ,UK or France .

As for the "full of insane catholics " ...well,that was the case some time ago.Or that was as the dictature wanted it to be .A dictature (Franco ) that kept the power because it was a great ally of US .Eisenhower came to Madrid to give support to Franco ,a real "insane catholic " but that was over all a genocide and a dictactor.

Since then the last 30 years of democracy have changed things a lot.In 1976 95% of people declared themselves "catholic" when asked about their religion (and catholic without practicing most of them )...in 2006 we had another big poll and the percentage had slipped to 46%.The church attendance has suffered a lot more nearing very very low levels ....its becoming rarer and rarer to find someone (someone young thats it) that goes to church the sunday.I know only one person who keeps going ...

Nice improvement for FIFA, but it's still well behind PES in Italy. I'm expecting 200k - 300k for PES first week. I just picked up PES 2009 today, even though FIFA may be better. There's no point in me buying FIFA when all my (real life) friends are playing PES. The fun for me in playing football games is playing against people you know. It loses a lot when playing against strangers, so I'm expecting PES to be just as massive as ever in mainland Europe this year, and PS3 seems to be the console of choice for this game now.

I previously estimated first week PES 09 numbers in Italy as split equally 100k between PS2 and PS3, I now think PS3 will do quite a bit better. My new estimate: PS3 - 120k, PS2 - 80k. As for the others: 360 - 60k, PSP - 20k.
