Forums - Sony - Aha! What they should do on the next PSP.

I agree, the next PSP needs to be entirely solid-state to help improve load times (and battery life). Hopefully they also embrace the homebrew scene. If they do embrace homebrew the next time around I won't bother with hacking it.

I think they shouldn't bother making a new psp.

Make a more full featured ericcson or something.

DS simply owns portable gaming.  Trying to toss out a new system would be embarrassing.

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

Wii Friend Code: 4094-4604-1880-6889

they should make the next psp more slimmer and foldable.

I still think the OP is right on dumping UMD. The dang drive is part of what has driven the piracy issue. The system is just better hacked so you can play games off of a stick -- just a short step from there to pirating games. Also agree on the analog stick, as really neither the DS or PSP have adequate controls for 3D shooters as is.

Piracy won't stop without UMD, I own 12 DS games, I've pirated every other one.

Everyone I know or meet with a DS, has a M3 Real or some other pirate card.

I think DS sells so well because people see it and realise with an 80 dollar card they own everygame on it.

I try not to feel so guilty because I own 20 wii games and 12 DS games, so I put more money in than most.  I download stuff that feels wierd to buy, like the non smoking coach.  I buy stuff I want to support like Contra 4.

I don't hack any other system, but DS is so easy.

Your missing the point, you can innocently in your own mind prepare a PSP to be ready to pirate software, as even if your just playing games on it that you own they will run better that way.  What does the equipment you need to pirate DS games do to make your DS better, nothing besides pirate games.  Once your able to pirate and can do that secretly all bets are off on what your average person will do privately at home.  This is not about ease of piracy.
