Don't you understand? Games that chart for months and years don't count because they are fads. It's the games that sell for a few weeks then disappear that are the games that stand the test of time.

Nah.. i don't see it happening, PS3 is the N64 of this gen, sure, it'll have some great games...
Ps3 owners, did you like little big planet and MGS4? enjoy your very own legend of zelda and banjo kazooie, more will come, but it just won't catch up (that's how i think it'll be, i wish i'm wrong since i really love some of sony's IPs)

I tried to exchange logic with him in another thread, and I came across the same problem.

He exhibits the behavior of the most extreme Sony supporters -> delusionalism.

But I will give him credit, he is very diplomatic, reserved and civil whe communicating his points.

 Well the Wii itself is a fad so any games on it that do well are by proxy, fads, hence forth the only games on it worth noting are those that sell poorly and since they're selling more poorly than games vaguely related on the competing consoles, obviously the Wii is getting schooled.

Forget the arguments that say the Wii isn't even competing with the 360/PS3 when convenient for the person presenting that point. Pay no mind to profits or market share, its the fan's perception of games that determines whether a console wins or not.

if any company has a chance at getting near to wii its the ps3. There are a lot of famous games on the ps2 which are still waiting to be made onto the ps3 which will attract many fans of those games to purchase a ps3. For now they are milking the ps2 but sooner or later a backwards compatibility ps3 will come and those japanese ps2 users will come swarming in to buy 1. japan has yet to be awakened. It seems like they got struck by a virus or something.

 It doesn't take much for Sony hopefuls to revert back to arguments once thought to have gone extinct long ago during the days of the Ps3's launch.

From hoping the Yen grows stronger to praying PS2 owners will blindly follow the Sony Brand should the time come to make the jump... why not just hope that an asteroid hits Nintendo headquarters?
