O. Look at each systems exclusives and you'll find the real story. In terms of sheer visuals I give the PS3 the edge (for now). I have honestly, yet to see something top Killzone 2, like being just real here, no "fanboyism" involved.

my $0.02.

Hey look, someone didn't read the thread.

Just a few posts above yours I've put forth a series of recent why a certain selection of games doesn't tell the story. Either debunk my point or your post is moot in regards to the ability of a console to output great visuals.

This topic is obviously false.

games like GTA IV have used pretty well ALL the resources of the XBOX 360 while only using 2 of the 6 available SPUS on the PS3.

Your point? Gears 2 looks better than UT3... the characters look pretty good in UT3, but look at the crappy ground textures in that second screenshot. It's clearly using the older "everything shiny" version of Unreal Engine where as Gears 2 has the more realistic version.

If you are posting UT3, again I ask, what's your point? Are you going to compare the PS3 version to the 360 version or something?

gears 2 can be done on the ps3, UT3 isn't a hardware pusher for the ps3 either.

Your point? There is absolutely no engine on PS3 that cant be done on 360. next statement please.

Just to show how laughable your screenshots are. The followong is ingame Gears 2. Look at the texture diffenrence Gears 2 >> Uncharted, MGS4 and UT3 easily.

Enough said really.

you said ram it's problem? hell both have 512mb available. and yes cell can handle gears 2 , prove me it can't.

i wanna see forza running like GT5 in 1080p 60fps.

also 360 cant do x16AA. those pics are cutscences or retouched.

LOL. Obviously you havent played Gears 2. None of those are from cutscenes. They are ingame shots. Thats what it looks like in HD. Why do you think I laugh so hard when people try and talk it down. It's so clear it's currently top it's not even funny. Couple that with the fact that Gears 2 is doing so much more than Uncharted or MGS4 onscreen, that it really is an amazing experience. MGS4 and Uncharted are great games but, After playing Gears 2 is was great to see what games can look like this gen on console.

Also I'm sure Forza 3 will look double Forza 2. So I have no doubt it will compete with GT5 graphically.

Unused resources are wasted resources. Did you ever think the reason they didn't use more spus is that it wouldnt have helped the game look better at all?

Its a good thing that bringing the PS3 version up to parity will use the rest of the performance left over then eh? ^^

@ Selnor you forgot to mention that two can litterally play that game (Gears of War) 4 if they system link. Killzone 2 lacks that obvious feature so of course they can focus more on visuals can't they?

Seriously the lack of Co-Op really pisses me off.

We can sit here and senselessly fight all day long about specs, and you're right, I didn't read the entire thread because I didn't come here to argue, I came here to give my opinion, which of course, you can dispute. BUT, it doesn't change the fact that I've personally not seen a game on the 360 shut out Killzone 2. If you read my ENTIRE post rather than using selective listening/reading, you would've seen where I said (for now). We can argue about specs, it changes nothing. This is why the games tell the story, not baseless bickering back and fourth about what system is better, more powerful, etc etc.... It's pointless dude.

That's the thing about not reading threads. What you had to say has already been debunked so it's just noise. You either argue my points or your post is worthless.

Again, a specific selection of titles does not tell you which console is more powerful.

Of course it's delicious that those titles look so, so good - but there's a reason why those games look the way they do and it doesn't necessarily involve better gaming performance inside the ps3.

When did I say anything about Killzone 2 looking better because of what the PS3 is? In fact, I mentioned that the 360 might be able to pull it off, it just hasn't, not that it was incapable of it. Now, you nor I are the developers of the game, so only they would know, but you're taking this crap way too seriously. Opinions are opinions man, you can't change em, so you're arguing is worthless. Each system's exclusives are going to demonstrate what the console is capable of, this is a FACT. Otherwise, you just going to go around in circles trying to prove everyone wrong who doesn't agree with you. There are games that PS3 can do the 360 couldn't and vice versa, if you build a game around a console's specs. Otherwise, exclusive games on the PS3 or 360 would be possible, IN THE SAME FORM, on the Wii or even PS2. However, since each system uses a specific type of hardware, it produces it's own unique games within the limots of it's specs, FACT. Those are things, you can't debunk, which was point from the beginning. This was never, at least not for me, an argument about PS3 being >>>> than anything else. Not everyone thinks the PS3 is the greatest thing since sliced bread, even though it is a phenomenal system, as is the 360. So relax dude...

No it isn't when the graphic appeal of exclusives doesn't entirely depend on the available power inside each machine. There's a post above yours that explains why, either you tackle that or your statements are not valid.

I find funny you try to belittle reasoning and discussion. Do you believe the ps3 is more capable of game visuals or do you have an informed opinion about it?

So far I'm doing pretty good at proving you wrong. Can you prove me wrong?

The guy talking there is the guy who designed the cell. He's the chief architect of what is the core of your ps3. If you think he doesn't know about processors, architectures, performance, etc you might be in denial.

Not only is he not the chief architect of the cell, but chief architect is a management position at IBM albeit on the tech promotion track.

Sure, chips aren't designed by one skilled artisan anymore (were they ever? honest question).

But he's the guy who managed the team, approved decisions and ensured the client got what it requested. In other words, he's pretty savvy about what's inside the CBE.
