Possibly Evolution on the Dreamcast. I can't say it was terrible, but it wasn't good.

More recently, I developed a love/hate thing for Contact, on the DS. Brilliant concept, great world graphics, some nice music (some), but the fighting system just lost me. It seemed like you could literally run through the game without fighting anything, if you wanted to.

And might I ask what is up with all of the hate on GOOD RPGs?  You're spoiled if you think the one you hate is worse than Deadly Towers.
