I've been considering purchasing a 5.1 surround sound setup for a while now, and just thought i'd throw this question out there. Can anyone suggest a good audio system for gaming for the budget conscious?

 Television spkrs just don't cut it anymore when you're playing COD4.

The Klipsch Synergy Quintet 3, its what I game with. Well that and a pair of Klipsch F-2s to make it 7.1. But the Quintet 3 system is nice and decently priced, you will just need to have a good receiver with it. And then later you can throw in a subwoofer and you're set.

My consoles go directly into a Samson Mixpad 9, and then though an ancient Cambridge Soundworks 4.1 setup (which only has 2 speakers because I am oldskool like that).

If you're creative, you can get a decently-priced PC speaker setup to work well.

my tv's speakers do just fine...
